Computer Consulting Services offers web design. There are a few steps that are necessary in order to provide you with a complete website. We have put together the necessary steps so that you can be aware of what the needs and steps are in building your website.
What We Need From You When Designing Your Website
Check out other websites that look appealing to you. These websites can either be related to what your website will offer or can be completely unrelated with what your website will offer. We need for you to send us a list of these websites you have seen so that we may get a feel for the appearance and colors you prefer. We need a copy of your logo, if you have one, preferably on a floppy. How many pages is your website going to be? This can be determined by how many links you will have. What are the links going to be called? A link is a word or image you can click on that will take you to another page. For example “contact us” will take you to a page with contact information of that particular website. We need for you to provide us with a list, preferably in Word, with the information that is to go in each page. You can separate each page by labeling it according to the link it will pertain to.
For example: About Us This would be a paragraph or so giving a brief summary or the company or organization. Bolding the links implies that this must go on a new page.
We need any pictures you would like to be on the website. Also, which pages go with which picture. This is optional. You don’t have to provide us with pictures if you don’t want any particular pictures on the website. Once this information is available to us, we can get started on your site. While we are working on your website you need to think of a name for your website. Once you have a name for your website we can register it. If you already have a domain registered, that's fine too! If you don't, then please have at least two names for your website just in case the first name you have chosen is not available. The cost for registering a domain is as follows:
(.com) (.net) (.org) - $17.90 for 1 year (.us) (.biz) (.info) - $29.90 for 1 year (.ws) - $33.90 for 1 year
Once the domain is registered we can then set up the domain (name of your website) for the Internet. There is a set up fee of $24.99. This fee covers the set up on the DNS and web servers as well as any email set up that may be needed. We will notify you with your completed website. We offer a variety of hosting plans. Once the hosting plan for your website has been decided we will begin the hosting process. If you currently have other services with us such as dial up internet access or broadband internet access, then you qualify for discounted web hosting.
Computer Consulting Services offers different web design packages to meet the different needs of our customers. These packages start at $300 for a basic 3 page website.
Maintenance: Computer Consulting Services can maintain your website for you. Changes or updates are normally made for an hourly fee. Maintenance Fees are higher for e-commerce websites, websites with chat-rooms, bulletin boards or forums.
